8 Things To Do Next Time You’re In Need Of A Confidence Boost

Whether you’re a woman who usually struts around with an air of ‘I’ve got this,’ or you find yourself consistently feeling like you don’t measure up in some way – the truth is we all have days when we’re in need of a little confidence boost. That’s why we’ve put together a handy list of ways to get you feeling fabulous in no time.  Check it out below:

1) Put on your favourite outfit and shade of lipstick:

You definitely don’t need to splurge on designer clothes – all you need is one outfit that makes you feel amazing. Maybe it’s a colour that makes you glow or a silhouette that frames your figure perfectly. Be sure to wear some killer matching lingerie underneath! Add a swipe of bold lipstick and try something a little different with your hair.  The truth is, when you look good, you’ll instantly feel good.

2) Spritz on your favourite scent:

Wearing your favourite perfume will not only uplift your mood and smell lovely, but it will also help you feel more put together and ready to take on the day ahead.  This study found that 90% of women feel more confident while wearing a scent than those who go fragrance-free.

4) Swap your negative thoughts for positive ones:

It’s incredibly hard to keep those negative thoughts at bay but the next time you find yourself thinking something along the lines of, ‘I’m not good enough, I can’t do this, I’m going to fall flat on my face and the world is going to break out in laughter,’ stop and counteract that thought with a positive one.  The more you do this, the more it’ll become a natural habit and you’ll be thinking positive before you know it.

 5) Smile:

Even if you feel like you’ve got the weight of the world on your shoulders and there’s a dark grey raincloud lingering above your head – SMILE. The simple act of smiling, even when you feel sad, will make you feel more confident and composed.

6) Put on your happy playlist:

Have a collection of songs you can turn up loud and jam to whenever you need to feel energized and uplifted. Music has been strongly linked to making the listener feel more powerful, motivated and less anxious and stressed.

7) Make a gratitude list:

Instead of focusing on all that you lack, take a moment to write a list of all things you have to be thankful for right now, and all of the accomplishments you have to be proud of. Let that sink in and refer back to it anytime you’re questioning yourself.

8) Make time for self-care:

Small things like eating well, moving your body, having downtime and getting enough sleep have a huge impact on how good we ultimately feel. Prioritize yourself and notice the difference.

Remember – you’re doing better than you think you are!

Even the Beyoncé’s of the world have bad days where they can’t help but feel a little urgh. You’re an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, so get on out there and don’t let anything hold you back.
