Start your day off on the right foot- 5 simple things successful women do when they wake up

Let’s face it, some mornings we hit the snooze button a few too many times. “Guilty as charged.” But mornings don’t have to be a challenge. Below are five morning routines that will help you achieve success without feeling daunted and have you crawling back into bed.

1) Drink hot lemon water:

A cup of hot lemon water is the perfect start to any #GirlBoss’s day. Check out a few of the amazing benefits:

Digestion:
Drinking warm lemon water helps flush the digestive system and rehydrate the body. You haven’t been drinking while you sleep, so drinking water first thing in the morning is a great way to re-hydrate your body and get your mind working. It’s also yummy!

Radiant Skin:
Flushing the body of toxins and the improvement of digestion leads to clearer skin. Vitamin C is used in collagen production which gives you smooth skin.

Immune System:
Lemon has vitamin C and first thing in the morning your body absorbs vitamins effectively. Vitamin C has so many benefits- it’s good for your adrenals and can help reduce the effects of stress- because let’s face it - we all have it.

2) Meditate:

The best time to meditate is in the morning just after you wake up. This can help us face our challenges during the day with more ease. “But I don’t have the time to meditate,” you say.
You don’t need to be a meditation guru in order for it to help you. Starting with just five minutes can make an enormous difference in your peace of mind. Below are some fantastic apps to get you started.

Working out is one of the first things on our to-do list that we put off. Studies show that women who exercise regularly are happier, more productive and can better deal with the stresses of their day.  This doesn’t mean you have to dedicate hours to it or have a costly gym membership, either. This seven minute workout has proven to be all you need to accomplish your exercise goals. Even the busiest gal can fit it in.
